Back in October, we at the Swiis Leeds Yorkshire office wrote to Santa inviting him to come to our Christmas party on the 6th December. We did not know if Santa would turn up but we were really delighted on the day when he came flying in on his sleigh.
We had to make sure that we had a grotto ready for him and one of foster carers Joanne, made the most amazing grotto just in case Santa could come. Thank you so much Joanne. We filled the grotto with gifts for all the children and young people ready for Santa to give out.
Two of our young people from Vasstel, our young people’s group, transformed into elves on Santa’s arrival to help guide Santa to the party and help assist him in the grotto as they met our children and young people. Our two elves did such an amazing job helping us all to feel festive and ensuring that Santa had all the help he needed.
Throughout the party we had dancing, games, delicious food and prizes. Members from Vasstel took part in secret Santa and all exchanged their gifts with one another.
Having Santa with us and the sharing of presents was amazing, but the best part of our Christmas party was all of us being together and seeing lots of smiling faces, laughter, making new friends and wishing each other a very merry Christmas.
Claire Hobson, registered manager, and the Leeds Yorkshire team would like to thank everyone for their attendance to the party, we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did.
