It can be frustrating when young people get injured and they can’t take part in the activities they want.
Kristina, one of our Resource Workers in Bristol, took a young person for a fun day out after a frustrating summer – we think it was worth the wait!
“F and I went on a fun day out to The Milky Way Adventure Park as well as a bowling alley. He had been really patient, as he had broken his wrist at the beginning of the summer holidays and was unable to do any of his favourite activities, particularly football. having said that … even with his injury, he still managed to beat me twice at bowling!
At the Adventure Park, he particularly enjoyed the bumper cars and spent hours driving them about. He was also brave enough to try the scary Clone Zone and the Drop Slide.
His cast has now come off, so he is busy turning his carer’s garden into a football pitch!
This was a great day out and a fantastic reward for being patient with his injury – we are very proud of the grown-up way he dealt with it”.
