Our second half term event of the year was held on 16th February in the stunning New Forest National Park at Beaulieu. The park is home of the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu Abbey and The Secret Army Exhibition.

Four carers and six children and young people joined us on a sunny winter day to explore the beautiful estate. We started off by looking at all the amazing cars and motorcycles on display at the Museum. Some were more than a hundred years old, while others had actually been used in Formula One racing! We were able to dress up and try out one of the really old cars as well. Some of us picked out our dream cars such as a blue Ferrari or a Mini Outspan Orange.

We re-energised with some coffee and amazing hot chocolate before riding on the oldest monorail in England. We enjoying the sweeping views of the grounds and gardens. Then, we went to have a look at the ‘World of Top Gear’ and discovered some of the modified, battered and often ruined cars from some of the most memorable challenges from the famous TV show. Before going home, we burned off some energy at the Mini Motor Play Area where the younger children were able to race their own cars around a track.

Thank you to everyone who attended this half term event and we hope to see you next time!
