Project Description

Bee’s story, Leeds

“I attended a job fair in Leeds with my sister when I approached the Swiis foster care stall. I’m one of those people that others come to for help and support so I thought; why not give fostering a go? I’ve never looked back.

The area I flourish in is with teenagers. I enjoy working with them, building a rapport and assisting them with the transition into independence and adulthood.  I have had parent and child placements as part of my fostering career. I enjoy forming bonds, undertaking assessments and working as part of the team.

I’m always willing to take part in training, and enjoy working alongside Swiis when recruiting new foster carers. I share my own experiences with foster carers in order to build up a positive and supportive network.

Swiis Foster Care has always, and continues, to offer lots of support. The social workers go above and beyond to assist foster carers.  There is always someone there on the end of the phone.”

“I’ve never looked back.”

Please noteall names have been changed and photos are not real people, but staged scenarios for publicity / advertising purposes.
