The Magical Lantern Festival in Manchester makes its debut this year, following successful festivals in London, Yorkshire, and Birmingham. The stunning landscaped grounds of Philips Park (just behind the Eithad Stadium), plays host to the festival.
This year’s Christmas themed Lantern Festival will illuminate Philips Park turning it into a spectacular fusion of dual culture, vibrant colours, and artistic sculptures. Prepare to enter a magical experience and discover life-size and larger-than-life lanterns in all shapes and forms. Expect ‘Penguins on Ice’ and ‘Ancient Temple of Heaven’ lanterns, to a magnificent ‘Footballing Lantern Recreation’ celebrating the city’s love affair with football.
The festival will not only wow visitors with its beautiful hand-sculpted lanterns. The entertainment area will feature a food and drink area, Santa’s Grotto, and fairground rides for children. There will be a merchandise marquee where visitors can buy a souvenir of their experience to take home.
£12 for adults and £8 for children
