School holidays are always a great opportunity for all of our local offices to arrange participation days for our children and young people. It’s a chance for them to try new activities. Placement Support Worker, Alison, tells us about a fun day trip the Leeds Yorkshire office had during the Easter Holidays.
“During the Easter Holidays, we arranged a trampoline bounce session for our children and young people. This gives our foster carers the opportunity to catch-up with each other, knowing their children and young people are busy bouncing off some of their energy. Our participation days are also great for the children and young people to meet up with each other and make new friends.
“The children and young people amazed us all with their confidence on the trampolines. They all enjoyed bouncing high, showing fantastic control while they did jumps and summersaults, forwards and backwards. Sarah, one of our Supervising Social Workers, joined everyone having fun on the trampolines. Next time, we all want to challenge Sarah to jump from one of the high jumping towers.
“Thank you to everyone who joined us for this Yorkshire participation day. We hope you had as much fun as we did. We can’t wait to see you all for the next day out.”
